Cagri Bearings- Professional Supplier of Cylindrical Roller Bearings.Cylindrical Roller Bearing is a radial rolling bearing with cylindrical rollers as rolling elements, featuring line contact or modified line contact between rollers and raceways, which provides excellent high radial load capacity. It is mainly classified into three core categories by the number of roller rows: Single-row, Double-row, and Four-row. Common single-row models include Type N (outer ring without ribs, inner ring with double ribs), Type NU (outer ring with double ribs, inner ring without ribs), Type NJ (outer ring with double ribs, inner ring with single rib), Type NUP (outer ring with double ribs, inner ring with single rib + separable flat rib) etc.; double-row models are mainly Type NN (outer ring without ribs, inner ring with double ribs + middle rib) and Type NNU (outer ring with double ribs + middle rib, inner ring without ribs); four-row models include Type FC (two outer rings and one inner ring) and Type FCD (combination of two NN types). Precision grades are divided into five levels from low to high: P0, P6, P5, P4, P2, among which P4 and P2 grades are suitable for ultra-precision scenarios such as machine tool spindles. Cage materials include stamped steel, machined brass and molded polyamide, while some high-end models adopt glass fiber-reinforced PEEK to adapt to high-speed operation requirements.

Cylindrical Roller Bearing is a core mechanical component designed for heavy radial loads and impact loads. It features low friction coefficient, limiting speed close to deep groove ball bearings, and separable inner and outer rings for easy installation and disassembly. With the characteristic of axial displacement (models like N, NU, NN), it can adapt to the relative position change between shaft and housing caused by thermal expansion or installation errors, and is often used as free-end bearings; while models such as NUP and NH can bear bidirectional axial loads, suitable for fixed-end positioning scenarios. These bearings are widely compatible with various industrial equipment, from ordinary motors and pumps to high-end machine tool spindles, wind turbines, and even heavy machinery like rolling mills for metallurgy, all meeting their dual requirements for load capacity and operation precision.

Cylindrical roller bearings with a cage can accommodate heavy radial loads and operate at high speeds. Full complement cylindrical roller bearings are suitable for very heavy radial loads at moderate speeds. Cylindrical roller bearings has a high carrying capacity, was widely used in agricultural machinery, large and medium-sized motors, rolling stock equipment, machine tool spindle, internal combustion engine, generator, gas turbine, gear box, rolling mill machine, vibrating screen and lifting machinery etc.   

In a single row cylindrical roller bearing, the rollers are always guided between the integral “open” flanges on one of the rings. These “open” flanges combined with the specially designed and surface finished roller ends, provide improved lubrication, reduced friction and consequently lower operating temperature. The ring with the integral flanges together with the cylindrical roller and cage assembly can be separated from the other ring. This results in easy mounting and dismounting, particularly where the load conditions are such that interference fits are required for both rings.

Our single row cylindrical roller bearings can accommodate heavy radial loads and high speeds. They are manufactured in several different designs, the main difference being in the configuration of the flanges.

NU design

The outer ring of an NU-design bearing has two integral flanges while the inner ring has no flanges (a). Axial displacement of the shaft with respect to the housing can be accommodated in both directions.

N design

The inner ring of an N-design bearing has two integral flanges while the outer ring has no flanges (b). Axial displacement of the shaft with respect to the housing can be accommodated in both directions.

NJ design

The outer ring of an NJ-design bearing has two integral flanges and the inner ring has one integral flange (c). These bearings can locate the shaft axially in one direction.

NUP design

The outer ring of an NUP-design bearing has two integral flanges and the inner ring has one integral flange and one non-integral flange in the form of a loose flange ring (d). These bearings can be used as locating bearings to locate the shaft axially in both directions.

NU+HJ execution

An NU –type bearing combined with an HJ angle ring (e) can be used to locate the shaft axially in one direction. Recommends not to fit standard angle rings at both sides of an NU-type bearing as this can lead to axial compression of the rollers.

NJ+HJ execution

An NJ-type bearing combined with an HJ angle ring (f) can be used to locate the shaft axially in both directions.
