XRT series cross tapered roller bearings

Description

The XRT series of cross-tapered roller bearings are designed to provide high degrees of rotation and stiffness in a small space, resulting in significant material cost savings. This type of bearing is to install two sets of bearing races and rollers at right angles. The adjacent rollers are facing in opposite directions. The spacers are installed between the rollers and the rollers. The rollers are also equipped with support spacers. This allows the two halves of the roller to fit into the same space. The angle and tapered geometry of the bearing allows the effective span of the bearing to be several times larger than the actual width of the bearing itself.

 

XRT series bearings are suitable for high speed machine tools such as vertical boring machines and vertical grinding machines. It is also especially suitable for many devices with limited space and high rotation accuracy.

 

Size range:

Inner diameter 101.600 mm to 2463.800 mm (4.000 in. to 97.000 in.)

Outside diameter 279.400 mm to 2819.400 mm (11.000 in. to 111.000 in.)

 

Design features:

The XRT series has two rows of tapered rollers that are vertically aligned by a spacer on a V-shaped hob surface of 90°, and can withstand loads in all directions, such as radial load and axial load.

Line contact on the raceway and roller construction provides rotational accuracy, high stability, and greater tilt stiffness.

The preloaded adjustable design extends bearing life, increases stiffness and provides minimum runout within limits.

The nylon spacer has a low inertia and a small running torque.

The parts are made of surface carburized steel or electroslag remelted bearing steel with good impact resistance.
